OAARS Club Christmas Party December 13th, 2023.
Come join us at Dee's Pizza in Skidway lake for our annual Christmas Pizza Party. Festivities start at 7:00pm, come have some fun and good conversations with Club Members, their families and other Hams.
Fox Hunt Oct 21st, 2023
The Ogemaw Arenac Amateur Radio Society Fall fox hunt is Oct 21st, 2023. Fox hunters will meet at Irons Park on S.Valley in West Branch at 8:45 am to divide up and get teams going and start at 9:00 am. Come out to show of your direction signal finding skills and join us for the fun. The Fox KE8GLB Chavis will start broadcasting at 9am.
OAARS Club Picnic July15th 2023
The Ogemaw Arenac Amateur Radio Society Club Picnic and Memorial will be held July 15th at the Elbow Lake Park off of Lucinda Dr. in Skidway Lake at 11:30 am. Bring a dish to pass, your own plates, silverware and drinks. Enjoy Bratts, Burgers and good conversation at this Beautiful Park. It was great success last year. The park is booked most of the summer and this was the only date we could get

The 2024 Michigan QSO Party,
Sponsored by the Mad River Radio Club, is from 1600Z April 20 until 0400Z April 21. Stations may operate the full 12 hours. Phone and CW on 80/40/20/15/10 meters. Single-op, multi-op, and mobile categories. Work stations once per band and mode. MI-to-MI QSOs allowed. Work portables and mobiles again as they change county, state or province. Exchange QSO number and location (county for MI stations, state/province or "DX" for others).
Suggested frequencies: CW-3545, 7045, 14045, 21045, 28045; Phone-3825, 7200, 14250, 21300, 28450. One point per phone QSO, two points per CW QSO. Count multipliers once per mode.
Multipliers are MI counties for all entries, plus states, provinces and "DX" for MI entries only. Final score is total QSO points times total multipliers.
Submit logs no later than 30 days after the contest. Electronic logs in Cabrillo format are submitted via the Log Submittal page on the MiQP web site http://www.miqp.org/submitLogFileMiQP.html. Mail paper logs with summary sheets to: Mad River Radio Club, c/o Ron Majewski W8RU, 3463 Pinehaven Road, Commerce, MI 48382.
